The trio have struggled to acquire first-team football at Arsenal this season, with Bendtner securing a season-long loan to Sunderland last summer and both Chamakh and Park pretty much watching this season’s action unfold from the bench.
But with the imminent arrival of Lukas Podolski in the summer, Bendtner set to return from his loan spell and if Robin van Persie successfully agrees a new deal at the club, Wenger will have an overload of forwards at his disposal next season, thus the departure of some squad players are highly likely.
‘That’s a situation that we have not sorted out yet but we will do that of course at the end of the season.
‘Some players didn’t get enough opportunities here during the season and we will try to give them an opportunity to play if they get the chance somewhere else.’
Taking Wenger’s words into consideration, it does appear that the Frenchman will either look to sell or loan out the abovementioned trio this summer, and rightly so.
If I were in charge I would simply sell all three of them.
Park is rarely used or seen so his departure won’t be noticeable. Chamkah is simply not good enough, hence his place on the bench and rare appearances, while Bendtner’s overconfidence and behaviour is arguably disruptive to the club and is certainly not needed.
