‘Four teams’ are in for this summer, according to managing director . But are one of them?

The Belgian international scored a hat-trick in what seemed to be his farewell appearance for Lille on Sunday after revealing his intention to leave the French club during the summer.

Both and United are known to be in the running for the 21-year-old forward, while recently emerged as contenders for his signature after their Champions League triumph in Munich on Saturday.

But Paquet revealed that there is another club in the mix for Hazard and stated it is up to the player, not the club, where he decides to go:

He was quoted on SkySports.com saying:

‘I am not sure he knows [who he will sign for] himself where he will go, so for the moment, we don’t know.

‘From my knowledge he has four teams interested in buying him.

‘It is not up to us to tell to him [where to go].

‘We have a very strong relationship with the player, we will work together and are waiting for him to make a choice between these four teams.’

We have been linked with Hazard in the past, with the player himself claiming back in mid-February that he would be interested in a move to the Gunners. However, only last week, the Belgian confirmed he will only consider a switch to Manchester, which one? No one knows. But he is now considering a move to Chelsea after their Champions League triumph. By the sounds of it, Eden doesn’t know where he will play his football next season.

He seems a bit of a mercenary to me, so my money is on Manchester City this summer. Have Arsenal got a chance of signing him, and are they one of the four confirmed clubs interested in his services? I don’t think so, not anymore, not after the acquisition of Lukas Podolski.

Is no one bored of this question yet….

Of course they are, but what difference does that make, Im pretty sure Exeter City would be interested in Hazard, and they’ve got about as much chance of getting him as we do aswell!!

People should give up any misplaced hopes that Arsenal have any interest in; or have the money to purchase a player like Hazard. He is completely beyond our reach as we will all see when he signs for Chelsea, Utd, City, real or Barca. The teams with titles and money to spend.

We need to be more realistic and let the others fight over him, he may turn out to be a flop in the premiership, and we could spend the 30 mil on TWO more needed players!!!!!!

No chance!! As much as i love arsenal and think they have so much more class than the other teams mentioned…we will NOT sign Hazard!
He will go where the money is and use citeh/chelski’s LUCKY title wins as an excuse to why he joined them…
we never had a chance to sign him and all the arsenal fans who hate wenger…dont start saying arsenal are showing lack of ambition! its all media/agent talk!! like mata!! last year all u mugs believed arsenal were front runners…how arrogant and stupid can u be when the likes of chelsea will just gazump any offer we make for him!!
and anyways why would we want a player at this club who only came for the money?? I wouldnt care say if we could offer a player £250k a week and the best player in the world would come to us for money reasons! id much rather have a player who wants to play for arsenal cause its arsenal!!
sign yossi!!! he proved how much willingness and fight he had for our club and he wasnt even our player!! have him over hazard or mata or nasri type players anyday!!!

Clutching at straws, we have made our one signing, now the dictator will use his spin to indicate that Diaby and Wilshire coming back will be like two new signings, so enjoy the Summer as we will not sign any one

I think it would be a quality signing if we get Hazard but we defiantly wont pay his wage demands, 200,000 he is asking for and 35 million for fee. Probaly wont but always have a go, cause if city, united and chelsea drop out we could go for him then you never no Gooners

Dreaming im afraid. Im willing to bet my left testicle that Hazard will NOT sign for Arsenal. I for one don’t want him, he is an arrogant, money grabbing, soul less gimp and would be right at home at Shitty or Chavski.

M’Vila, Kagawa, Hoilett, Giroud, Yanga-Mbiwa & Vertonghen would be my choice (plus Dempsey if and when RVP leaves)

Who cares? This guy is acting like a total cunt, obviously not a “team player”.

Hope not. Very good young player but ridiculously overrated and with his recent antics, appears to be another Adebayor or Nasri. He’s not impressed on the International or European stage yet, and if he does achieve his potential, will be off within 2 or 3 years to Real Madrid or Barcelona.

Would much rather Shinji Kagawa for half the price (asking price said to be £16m) – better player overall, more mature and better mentality.

If Dortmund are genuinely interested in Bendtner, offer him and £10-12m for Kagawa.

From declaring that he wanted to join only Arsenal or Real Madrid, he has been whoring himself to every club who will buy him.

He is undoubtably a very talented footballer but seems a bit of a mercinary to me, flirting with clubs to boost his wages.

I personally believe that Hoilett would be a better signing for us

The owner has over 6 billion. Now if AW says we need MVilla and Hazard and we will win trophies and see much more merchandise sold because of the signings. What would his answer be?

    Scravaldio Reply:

Exactly but you know Kroenke has never put a penny into any of his other clubs. Not one single dime. He is a joke his portfolio is crumbling in the states so he bought into Arsenal to make up for his losses in the USA. We are no more then a stop gap. Oh and Usmanov isn’t even aloud on the board so he can’t spend for us unfourtnatly.

i wouldnt want hazard anyway, the way he keeps changing his mind depending on a teams success suggests that he’s another arrogant prat like nasri who would stab us in the back next season anyway

Just heard on the news that it’s 3 clubs not 4. Man City, Man Utd and now Chelsea since the won the champions league. Nothing remotely about Arsenal…

  • clarence wyllie Says:

Why would anyone think that Hazard is on wenger’s radar? Arsenal don’t normally buy players that expensive. Isn’t that why we can’t win championship? Arsenal likes to buy rejects and that is why they have nothing to sell. No one wants arsenal players to buy because a number of them just cannot make top quality teams

  • Scravaldio Says:

The only reason its not reaslistic is because the board refuse to let Wenger spend which is why he said he couldn’t understand why Usmanov isn’t on the board. AW does land some big hints on us all the time. Which other managers go on and on about staying within are means when we have two billionaire owners! I’m not saying go nuts but we should at least compete. To say we dont have enough money to compete with man city and then bleat on about sustanability is so hypocritcal especially considering we have taken 70 million in transfers from City alone. We have football people left on the board and until we do the only thing that will metter is profit. We dont want Usmanov we need him as with this current board we will slide further and further into mediocrity. This is our chance to spend when other clubs can’t but hey lets just pocket it instead, criminal if you ask me.

Dont get Hazard he sounds too much of a mercenary he wants 200,000 a week? His only 21 and all he has to show for his talent is playing in a mickey mouse league.
