Ajax playmaker Christian Eriksen should stay put to hone his talent further before even thinking about a potential move away from the Dutch outfit, according to his agent.

The 20-year-old Dane has attracted the attentions of Arsenal, Manchester Untied, Manchester City and Chelsea, after impressing in the Eredivisie for the past two seasons or so.

AC Milan are also believed to be keen in the Denmark international, who could command a fee as high as £20 million this summer, according several reports.

However, despite Eriksen’s agent, Martin Schoots, admitting a move to the Italian outfit would be good for his client, he reckons the youngster still has a lot to learn at Ajax.

Quoted on talkSPORT.com, Schoots said:

‘AC Milan is an interesting solution and a way forward.

‘I don’t know if he’s ready for such an important club, but he certainly has the qualities to do well in all leagues.

‘At this time, however, his task is to grow at Ajax.’

Last year, Eriksen’s father, Thomas, urged his son not to join any Premier League club if he left Ajax, claiming the way they treat their young talent is ‘cold’ and is not good for their development.

Eriksen is undoubtedly a fantastic young player, one who has the world at his feet.

Would I like to see him sign for Arsenal? Of course, who wouldn’t?

Is it the right time for us to pay well over £20 million and compete with the big-boys for this wonderkid? I just don’t think so.

As much as he talented, I have to agree with his agent. Eriksen is still very young and has a hell of a lot to learn, and Ajax is one of the best clubs in the world to develop his immense ability.

I for one can’t see us signing him this summer. But perhaps, in the not so distant future, it is possible.
