The Daily Mail have reason to believe that Arsenal are considering a move for West Brom striker Peter Odemwingie.

Arsene Wenger was linked with the 30-year-old Nigerian last summer, but failed to take his interest further after the Baggies slapped an £8 million price-tag on their star forward.

At the start of the current campaign Odemwingie signed a new three-year contract with Roy Hodgson’s side, despite interest from Tottenham, snubbing a January switch to Anzhi Makhachkala and the club rejecting a £4 million bid for his services from Wigan.

However, the Mail reckons Wenger could rekindle his interest in Odemwingie, who recently scooped the Premier League Player of the Month award for February and has scored nine goals in 22 appearances for West Brom so far this season, as the Frenchman looks to bolster his attacking options.

Odemwingie finished fifth in the goal-scoring chart last season, netting 15 in 32 appearances in his first full season in England.
