Well it’s been 13 days since the closure of the January transfer window and just over three months until the summer one opens, yet Arsenal have already been linked a number of players.
Sunderland’s Stephane Sessesgnon was yesterday rumoured with a switch to the Emirates in the summer, whilst FC Koln striker Lukas Podolski continues to be mentioned.
However, the latest name to be linked with a move to the north London club is Ipswich Town’s youth forward Carel Tofiak, as the Daily Mail reports Arsene Wenger is preparing a swoop for the 17-year-old.
According to the national newspaper, Wenger himself scouted the Cameroon-born forward, who can also play on the wing, during a recent game for Town’s Under-18 side.
The Championship side are keen to hold onto the youngster, but Wenger will be hoping to nab the Tofiak, who is attracting the attentions of several clubs with his performances this season.
Not really a lot to go on, but this transfer rumour could transpire into something as time passes by. I for one wouldn’t be surprised if it does.
