The definition of Arsenal DNA!!!

‘If Arsenal need some help one day I will be around.’

This is what Arsenal legend Thierry Henry told BBC Sport after scoring a dramatic stoppage time winner against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light yesterday afternoon.

As we all know the 34-year-old Frenchman re-signed for us on loan on January 6th from the New York Red Bulls – having trained with our lads during the MLS off-season – and somehow managed to enhance his already legendary status and endear himself to the Arsenal faithful even further by netting three important goals (one on his second debut for the Gunners against Leeds in the FA Cup) in six appearances for the club.

Now although it will be very sad to see Terrance leave next Thursday and return to New York, as ordered by Hans Backe, we may just see the former Arsenal captain in the famous red and white shirt in the near future.

When asked if yesterday’s game proved to be his last Premier League for Arsenal, the va-va voom striker said:

‘You can never say never.’

He concluded by saying:

‘I felt just like a kid who scores his first goal for the team he loves.’

That right there is why I love Thierry Henry.

The Frenchman simply adores and sees himself more of a fan of the club than a player for it. He is the definition of #ArsenalDNA.

When asked if Henry could possibly come back next season, Arsene Wenger said:

‘We will see next year. Maybe he might want to stop at some stage as well?’

Personally, I don’t know why we just didn’t sign him on a permanent deal in January in the first place! Oh well, even if he comes back on a short-term deal would be something special, especially at 35 years of age!

The door is always open Thierry! Don’t be a stranger now you hear?

Legends truly exist in the world of soccer but we only have few of them, TITI surely earned his plaze among the few long ago. What more can i ask from you my unforgetable idol? The beautiful goal at hibury against bayern(though we crashed out on goal agregate), the solo effort at real madrid(d match dat got both cesc n reyes on d plane 4 germany 2006), the equaliser against d spuds, the last match n hatrick at the hibury n many more. Those ar memories i’ve been living with but then again, u showed up to refresh and update the memories against leeds, blackburnt n soondaland. Surely i had tears everytime i read the news of u going back to NY. Thanks to TH14 for all the sweet memories and much thanks to TH12 for making my year 2012 a wonderful one already. Please don’t go my hero….. ALL HAIL THE KING, THE SUPER-HERO, THE gOD, THE IDOL and THE LIVING LEGEND of our time……

  • By the way... says:

… A legend that quit the club. And is only back now that he’s past it and no other big club in world football would touch him. Oh yeah, that’s a legend.
