Reports in Germany claim Lukas Podolski has agreed to sign for Arsenal at the end of the season.
The 26-year-old German striker has been a long-term target of Arsene Wenger’s, as the Frenchman looks to bolster the Gunners attacking options ahead of next season.
Podolski, who only has 15 months left to run on his existing deal at Koln and has had several run-ins with the Bundesliga club’s management in recent weeks, has previously been linked with AC Milan, Lazio and Schalke, who were reportedly willing to double the German international’s wages if he were to sign for them.
But German newspaper Bild claims that the former Bayern Munich forward will arrive at The Emirates in the summer, but stresses that a fee is yet to be discussed. While Express.de backs up the story and the idea that nothing is official just yet.
Well until I get some form of confirmation from Arsenal or Podo himself on this proposed summer transfer, I will not believe it! But hopefully this transfer does ensue at the end of the season as it would be a great buy.
