8 things you should know about Sunderland and Arsenal prior to their FA Cup meeting later this evening:

1. The two clubs have been draw together six times in the FA Cup, with both sides bagging three wins each.

2. Arsenal have only managed two wins out of their last seven FA Cup ties away from home.

3. Robin van Persie has netted seven goals in his last nine FA Cup appearances.

4. Robin van Persie is Arsenal’s top scorer this season with 28, while Theo Walcott is in second place with just the six.

5. Last time these two teams met Arsenal had the majority of possession with 69%, while Sunderland only managed 31%.

6. The Gunners have only kept two clean sheets in 2012, one of which was in the FA Cup.

7. The Black Cats have netted 37 goals in all competitions so far this season, just nine more than Van Persie.
