Could this possibly be Arsenal’s new home strip and away shirt for the 2012/13 season?
Nike have decided to produce this simple looking design, one, which many will agree, replicates that of the Egyptian national strip.
The body of the shirt remains red and white, but features a charcoal black collar and two hoops (red and black) around the sleeve. The shorts are white and instead of the socks being completely red or white, as they have been for years, they are black!
I have to say that it looks more like a bloody United kit than an Arsenal one!
As for the Away jersey, well it looks to me like a run down, washed up Dennis the Menace outfit. It features maroon and black hoops all the way down the shirt, and to some degree imitates our third kit of 2005.
I stumbled across the image of the home kit after being sent to me via Twitter, but I think the shirt was first uploaded by Arsenal Insider, who are adamant that this will be our new home shirt. While I came across the away kit on Straight Talking Gooners, who say the image was first released by a man named ‘Highbury Harold’.
In my opinion, the home kit does look pretty legit and authentic, as it is modelled with Barcelona’s and Manchester United’s possible kits for the upcoming season in Nike Town.
Although it remains uncertain what our away shirt will actually look next season, I wouldn’t be surprised if the club go ahead with this one – from our navy and light blue horse jockey kit this season, to an old-looking, worn out Dennis the Menace kit next season.
Don’t know why I’m complaining, I’ll more than likely purchase both of them!

Too right Henry. I guess the Nike execs have the same deal with manu as their Sky counterparts. Why else are we stuck with this poor man`s manu kit? My God! they`ll have refs. doing them favours next
cant stand the socks collar and blue stripe on sleeve, just leave it red and white people will still buy because its our tradition
I think you will find it’s blue not black paying tribute to the Royal Arsenal, hence red White and blue. I remember a kit in I think in the sixties of red and White shirt, White shorts and White socks with blue hoops all the way up.
I’m sure those kits ain’t right. The socks are all totally wrong.
The backdrop look like a crappy depot store in china, prob fake efforts.
Regardless, if that really is the Arsenal home shirt with french flags for sleeves then they have really really poor ideas!
The stripy top could be a training top… don’t believe it for a second to be official though.
just because some dope dressed some mannequins in a shop means we have black socks now? give me a break
Perhaps I knocked that kit unfairly. It is not the worst kit that has ever been foisted on a destitute team. During the war kit was unobtainable and my village under 11 captain`s mother knitted a set of jerseys for the new season – honest to God – unfortunately wool was also scarce but donated by kind villagers. The general theme was a sort of red but I always felt it was unwise to try for green numbers. That was worse than….well…maybe….?
I kind of like the home shirt, but they socks are hideous! They don’t match up at all! Away kit is just boring old crap, as we’ve seen for the last god knows how many seasons!
Oh please no! We can’t let our players go out in public dresed like that.
Makes me yearn for the good old Green and navy kit of old.
