Should Wenger bag a ‘BA’rgain?

|

Arsenal have been linked with a number of top European strikers in recent weeks, as the north London club look to bolster their attacking prowess.

But while many Arsenal fans have been calling for the signing of German international Lukas Podolski for Cologne, could there be a better BArgain for Arsene Wenger to bag? I am of course referring to Newcastle hotshot Demba Ba.

The former West Ham striker has been in sensational form for the Toon army this season, netting 15 goals in 19 Premier League games and sits just two goals behind our very own Robin van Persie in the goal scoring charts.

Many will think that the Senegalese forward will cost a fortune to bring in, but they would be wrong. Several reports claim that Ba has a buy-out clause in his existing contract at Newcastle of just £10 million! A small price for such a talented player.

Despite sources coming out from Newcastle stating Ba ‘is happy and has no intention of leaving’, if Arsenal, or any other interested club for that matter, were to table a £10 million offer then the Magpies have no choice but to let Ba speak to them – whether he would leave is up to him.

So what are Arsenal waiting for? Well the major problem that we face is that Ba is currently out of the country and will take part in the African Cup of Nations later this month with Senegal, so a deal for the 26-year-old may prove difficult this transfer window. However, it’s not out of the question because of the clause within his contract.

So if Wenger is indeed desperate to sign a striker this month then why not Demba Ba? He has showcased his talent already this season, has great finishing ability, Premier League experience, skill, and would cost us around £10 million – a fee which Wenger would undoubtedly be happy to part with.

Personally I would love for Arsenal to sign Podolski from Cologne, but Demba Ba looks a very good option for us to consider, if not this month then certainly at the end of the season, especially if Newcastle do not sort out his contract details.

PSG, Liverpool and Tottenham are also keen on the in-from striker, so if Wenger wishes to acquire him then he will have to act fast on the matter.

Do you guys think Ba would be a good acquisition for Arsenal? Could he be the man to sort out our striking problems?

We gonna end-up not buying any player. But don’t forget white shit lane is ahead of us.

I’d prefer we targeted Moussa Sow or Papiss Demba Cisse or Pato. Demba Ba is an injury waiting to happen. It took 4 days of medical for West Ham to sign him, and he was turned down from Stoke because they said his knee was bound to put him out for a long time soon. The last thing we need is another injury prone player. Also, it’s strange how 3 of the 4 I’ve mentioned are Senegalese. Maybe other nations should watch out for that team in the ACN, their abundance of strikers looks quite intimidating…

Demba Ba will offcourse be the right option coz he doesnt need any intro or adoptation n he’s within reach n has prooved already. Wenger why look far.
