Arsenal are ready to enter the race for Manchester United starlet Ravel Morrison, according to several reports.

The 18-year-old is expected to leave Old Trafford after talks over a new deal broke down.

A recent £1 million bid from Newcastle was rejected by United for Morrison, and it is believed that Arsene Wenger will now try his luck.

The talented midfielder is reportedly keen to talk to Arsenal after being unable to force his way into a depleted United midfield.

However, Sir Alex Ferguson claimed on Friday that Morrison priced himself out of a new contract at OT.

Fergie said:

‘His agent has been working hard to get him another club. ‘We’ve offered him terms which he has refused, so that is where it is.’

He then went on to confirm the rejected £1 million bid from Newcastle:

‘We’ve rejected an offer from Newcastle and it is now down to how that progresses.’

However, the England Under-19 international hit back at his manager’s claims via Twitter, insisting he never once turned down a contract at United:

‘I have never 1s [once] turned down a contract off Manchester United.’

Real Madrid, Barcelona and PSG are all thought to be monitoring the situation.

If Morrison is wise and of course looking to leave United, then he should join Arsenal – the home of nurturing youngsters into world-beaters.
