Arsenal face major competition from Liverpool, Fiorentina and Borussia Dortmund to sign Spartak Moscow striker Welliton.
The 25-year-old Brazilian is regarded as one of the best strikers currently operating in Russia and has attracted interest from several top European clubs with his performances for the Moscow club.
Arsenal are thought to be keen on reinforcing their striking options this month and have been re-linked with a move for the Brazilian star.
Spartak are not keen to sell their prolific striker, but the Russian outfit would consider offers of around £7 million if tabled.
But if Arsene Wenger wants to land Welliton he will have to act fast, as reports in Russia claim Fiorentina and Dortmund are also interested in clinching his signature this month.
So far this season Welliton has netted 7 goals in 18 games for Spartak and has been the Russian Premier League’s top scorer for two years running since 2009.

The question then is he playing for his national team? Otherwise he will not get a work permit. An exception can get but those are few and far between.
Wenger should stop faffing about and buy a proper quality striker and midfielder. Arteta is not a replacement for Fabregas. Creativity in midle of the park and finishing are missing missing. Defence may do because if you are not breaking down the opposition you give them courage to come at you and that is what happened at Fulham recently.
