Brazilian Vagner Love has been keen to let Arsenal know that he’s still looking to move next year, despite CSKA Moscow making it through to the last 16 of the Champions League.

When asked about his future last week, the 27-year-old striker had this to say:

‘The result does not change my plans. If that was my last game for CSKA I am happy, as I played a great game and I helped the team to qualify which a key objective.’

Arsenal appear to be interested in him and have tracked his progress in recent weeks as they look for a new forward to partner Robin Van Persie, especially with the future of Marouane Chamakh in serious doubt after the Moroccan recently revealed he may look to leave in the club next summer.

Although Arsenal have been tracking Love, it appears the Brazilian would prefer a move to Flamengo as this would keep him closer to his family and friends:

‘I am going to spend the holidays with my family and wait to find out where my future will be.’

Love has hardly had the best of seasons for CSKA and I can’t help but feel that there are better players out there who would be more capable of pairing up with RVP at Arsenal.

For me, I think Arsene Wenger needs to let this one pass him by and continue looking to for the right striker because I dont think Love is the answer. Besides, he would be unable to play in Europe for us.
