Arsenal have been told that they will have to fork out £16.6 million for Yann M’Vila, according to the player’s agent.
The French midfield enforcer has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal over the past several months and now his agent, Marc Formeaux, who also represents long-term Arsenal target Eden Hazard, has told interested clubs what they will have to stump up in order to acquire the 21-year-old Rennes starlet.
‘Regarding M’Vila, he is valued at €20m (£16.6m) and he does not know where he wants to go.
‘In Italy, they have linked him to Inter and AC Milan, but we will have to see who can pay his price and then convince him to join them.’
So, with the asking price now clear should Arsenal splash the cash to acquire the Rennes midfielder?

you if wenger could focus on buying player who have a bit of experience it could work out, but with him he brings in player who still strugle to get and know how to play soccer, arsene bring players who knows what to do when they get on the pich and turn them into what you want them to be or ned them to play when they on the pich,if yann mvilla is as gopod as some say then he is one of the player we ned for the team especially this january

To be honest,I have never seen M’vila play, but I do know that song needs a partner,it would make our game stronger & get better defensive displays. Also we do need another striker for d rest of the season(podolski or falcao) & another good defender. Also,I think chezzar nds somebody 2 ginger him & bring out d best in him,he is a nice GK ,with a long career ahead of him.And I think wenger reads our comments, but which ones?!

Arteta is Song’s partner, and Wilshere is coming back. Add to that Coquelin, who I think will be a brilliant CM, and Frimpong, who looks pretty useful himself, and I don’t see why we should spend big money on another midfielder. We need a potent striker/winger!

Thankyou!! Finally someone with some sense!!
If we haven’t got that much money, what is the point in spending a large chunk of the transfer budget on a position that is already filled??
People need to think before they comment

Song has been excellent…no need for m’villa, we need Gourcuff, gotze or hazard….nasri replacement, Arteta is brilliant, fitted in.spend on potent striker Podolski or Pato or any Gem that Wenger has already scouted. But guys give credit where it is due, wenger and song as well as the entire team have come to the party and improved. We now need to get even better. Kester & lev go support spurs.

M’Vila – we should snap him up. This is one for the long term! Although Arteta has been one of the better acquisition I hate to say he won’t last that much longer! M’Vila is definitely one for the future and now if needed. It would be great to add some mor quality depth in the squad. T
his guy is class!

I think M’vila would be a great signing for us. His power combined with skill and great tackling ability make him very much like Song. Arsenal win when hey are more defensive minded eg. Vieira and Petit or Vieira and Gilberto. Both players in these pairs could attack but were known for their physical presence in the middle of the park. Song and M’vila would be a dream combo. Arteta and Benayoun are only temporary fill ins till Wenger can buy the players he wants. Although I’m sad to say it, if we signed M’vila, Frimpong would leave. He wants first team football and with Song, M’vila and Coquelin all above him in the pecking order, I don’t see him staying…unless he just wants to be used in rotation.
Let’s not foret Arsenal also want Jan Vertonghen, who can play CB, LB or CDM. He would certainly be the next choice for defensive midfielder after Song and M’vila should injuries burden these players. Coquelin is far better than Frimpong and so Frimpong will have to go…
In terms of striker problems…Mertesacker has us sorted out so it’s all good!!
On a more serious note. I think the next three signings will be Podolski, Vertonghen and M’vila with the team for next season being
GK: Szcezsny
RB: Sagna
CB: Koscielny /Mertesacker
CB: Vermaelen
LB: Vertonghen
CDM: Song
CDM: M’vila
CAM: Wilshere
CAM: Walcott / Gervinho
ST: Van Persie
ST: Podolski
Subs:
Fabianski
Koscielny / Mertesacker
Andre Santos
Coquelin
Ramsey
Walcott / Gervinho
Park Chu Young
Don’t think I missed anybody, if I did…please make changes

I think your absolutely right. He is also in the France national team which makes him a bargain for such a sought after and young player..

Yes plz. Get rid of Song and buy this guy. It’s a win-win situation. Song will probably fetch 15m pounds; invest that money in this guy. Much much better than Song.
