Serie A outfit Roma have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Sao Paulo starlet Casemiro, with both teams set for a January transfer tug-of-war for the Brazilian’s signature, according to talkSPORT.
Sao Paulo have place a price-tag of around £10 million for the 19-year-old, which has led to numerous enquiries.
The Brazilian international has risen to prominence at Sao Paulo and it is believed Casemiro would be open to a move to Europe.
Roma, who are considered to be serious contenders for Casemiro’s signature, will be hoping to beat Arsenal to the punch when the January window opens in two days time.
In all fairness, I reckon Roma are ahead of The Gunners in this race, purely because Arsenal’s interest in Casemiro does not appear to be concrete enough.
