Arsenal are set to offload misfiring forward Marouane Chamakh back to France in January and may make a shock move for Wigan’s Hudo Rodallega, according to the Merto.
The Gunners were linked with a move for the 26-year-old Colombian during the summer, but The Gunners opted to sign Park Chu-Young from Monaco instead.
However with both strikers failing to impress on their rare outings for Arsenal this season, Arsene Wenger may consider rekindling his interest in Rodallega, who has only a year left to run on his contract at the DW Stadium.
It’s believed a bid of around £5 million or so could be enough to secure Rodallega’s services in January, a fee that The Gunners are expected to recoup from the potential sale of Chamakh, who is wanted by former club Bordeaux.
