The Spanish capital club are famous for their ‘Galactico’ signing policy, where by they splash out hefty sums of cash in order to land their target.
This summer their Galactico signing was Fabio Coentrao, who signed was brought in from Benfica in a deal worth €40 million.
The biggest question is not whether Madrid need Wilshere, but whether they will be wasting their time trying to land the talented Arsenal midfielder.
Wilshere, 19, recently committed his himself to the north London club, claiming he will be a Gunner for life:
‘Can I promise I will be at Arsenal forever? I can promise that, yes.’
All the big-money signings made by Madrid in the past few summers have been considerably easy because majority of the players targeted were also interested in a move to the Bernabeu. But in this case, it is different. Neither Wilshere nor Arsenal are interested in negotiating a deal with Real, or any club for that matter.
Everyone knows that Madrid made close to world-record bids for Thierry Henry in the summers of 2004 and 2005, but Wenger never took the time of day to entertain the bids. There is a high possibility that the same the thing will happen now with Jack, especially considering the fact that Wilshere is only 19 and is a world-class talent.
It remains to be seen how Madrid take things forward, as they themselves know the player has no intentions of leaving the Arsenal.
But I for one, and I’m sure every Gooner reading this will agree, that the La Liga club will be wasting their time trying to land out boy Jack.
