According to his agent, Arsenal and Liverpool are set to lose out on Peruvian youngster Andy Polo.

It was reported that both Arsenal and Liverpool were interested in the 17-year-old striker. However, it appears that two german sides, Hamburg and Shalke, are also amongst the clubs who are interested in the Peruvian’s services.

Andy Polo’s agent, Borja Gonzalez, said in a recent interview:

‘There are two clubs in Germany who are very interested in Andy and there is a very close agreement, in the next 48 hours they have to call me and tell me they want to do the deal. If all goes well on Thursday or Friday we should be close. Andy Polo will play in Europe next year.’

In all honesty, I don’t see this as a huge loss to our club. He is only 17 and we still have enough quality ahead of this youngster, so I don’t see Arsene Wenger losing much, if any sleep over it.
