Arsenal youngster Ryo Miyaichi has emerged as a loan target for Neil Lennon’s Celtic, according to The Sunday People.

Due to not receiving a work permit when he arrived at the Emirates, Miyaichi, 18, spent the second half of last season out on loan with Feyenoord, where he impressed the Dutch media with his movement and skill, earning him the nickname ‘Ryodinho’.

Since returning from the Netherlands, the Japan Under-19 international has only featured for Arsenal’s pre-season tour of Asia.

The young, tricky winger was expected to seal another loan deal during the summer transfer window, but was finally granted a work permit to play in England. However, Miyaichi has yet to feature in a competitive game for the Arsenal first-team this season.

It is understood that the youngster will rack up his appearance tally in the Carling Cup and early stages of the F.A Cup this season. He may well feature in the Premier league a few times during the course of the season, but this will more than likely be from the bench.

Lennon is believed to be keen on the talented youngster and is reportedly preparing a loan move for the Arsenal starlet in the January transfer window.

If Miyaichi isn’t going to be utilized enough this season, then I believe Arsene Wenger should consider a possible loan move for him.

Celtic may not be the ideal place to hone your skill and talent, but it would be a great place to gain experience, which is exactly what the Japanese wonderboy needs.
