Arsenal and Juventus are set to do battle for Dinamo Zagreb’s Mateo Kovacic, According to talkSPORT.com.
The 17-year-old midfielder has been a long-term target and admirer of Arsene Wenger’s since the age of 13, and the Frenchman’s interest has increased after the youngster impressed for Dinamo Zagreb last season.
Kovacic has already made a great start to the new season, scoring twice in six appearances, helping the Croatian side surge to the top of the Prva HNL.
According to reports in Italy, Arsenal are already in talks with Zagreb over a possible January move which would see the Croatia Under-17 international remain with his current club on loan until next summer.
However, it now appears that Juventus are also preparing a winter move for Kovacic, who is believed to be valued at around £7 million by Dinamo.
