In what can only be described as the most shocking transfer rumour of the summer, Arsenal have been linked with a loan deal for out-of-favour Real Madrid star Kaka.
Is the Brazilian simply just another name that has been linked to Arsenal, which will eventually end up going nowhere just like the proposed move for Juan Mata?
If current rumours are to be believed, then the Gunners are planning on going for the following players:
1. Kaka
2. Phil Jagielka
3. Gary Cahill
4. Mauro Zarate
5. Per Mersacker
6. Yann M’Vila
7. Eden Hazard
8. Scott Dann
9. Chris Samba
10. Jadson
The list above is probably missing a few names and we have only 9 days to complete some signings, and although Real Madrid superstar Kaka would be a huge signing for the club, is it just a case of ‘here is a big-name, now get off my back’ statement from Arsene Wenger?
I do not have the answer for this question, but there is no doubt in my mind that he would be a great signing for the club. However, can I honestly see it happening – no.
Undoubtedly we need to splash the cash in order to kick-start our season, if we fail to do this, then, in my opinion, things are just going to go from bad to worse.
What do you guys think – is this purely a sign of desperation from Arsenal/Wenger?

Here is a crazy idea:
Rather than pay (say) £15-20m for a player who is inferior to Samir Nasri, why not pay him (say) £7.5m signing on fee then £95k a week.
That way he makes as much as he would at Man City and we keep our star player now that Cesac has flown the nest????

What a stupid article. Did Wenger come out and say “I am interested in signing Kaka” ? No he didn’t so therefore how is this a sign of desperation by him. He has done nothing to encourage this story as he likes to disguise every player that he intends to sign.
