Arsenal are keeping tabs on Wolves winger Matt Jarvis, according to the Daily Mail.

The 25-year-old, who bagged 5 goals and 8 assist in 41 appearances for Wolves last season, has caught the eye of Arsene Wenger. So much so that the Frenchman has instructed his scouting team to monitor the England international’s progress over the upcoming weeks.

It is understood that the Gunners representatives were sent to Portman Road last Saturday to watch Jarvis specifically, but the winger was unable to take part in Wolves’ 2-1 due to a minor groin injury.

However, it is believed that the north London club will continue to keep tabs on Jarvis, who was previously linked with a move to Liverpool.

The ex-Gillingham player has done well for Wolves, especially in the previous two seasons, but is he an Arsenal player? I don’t think so.

I think we have enough wingers at the club who are better than Jarvis technically, and with the expected arrival of Juan Mata in the upcoming weeks and the recent signing of Gervinho, I don’t think there would be any space for the Englishman.

Good player, but not of Arsenal standard in my book.

Would Jarvis make a good addition to Arsenal?
