Arsenal target wants Premier League move

|

Brazilian winger Willian is reportedly attracting interest from north London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

The Shakhtar Donetsk star is valued at around £15 million and has already admitted that he would love a move to the Premier League.

Arsenal and Tottenham appear to be the most likely destinations for the 23-year-old if he were to complete a transfer to England.

Willian told the Daily Mail:

‘I would love to play in England.’

He added:

‘The league is one of the best and there are some great clubs here: Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City. Clubs with big players who play attractive football.’

‘I like Chelsea and Arsenal’s styles a lot. I’d be very happy to play for Tottenham too and help get them back into the Champions League. They’re a very big club.’

Willian has likened his play style to that of Manchester United’s Nani and Spurs’ Luka Modric.

Why is it that tottenham are linked with nearly every player we are. Im getting sick of seeing it. Juan mata, cahill, samba, scott parker gervinho and this guy. Do the press do it on purpose

just because he say he wants play here don’t mean we want him or that hes any good.

  • Jerry says:

he was impressive in last seasons champions league and would be a great addition to wenger’s team. but when the bidding war starts wenger will chicken out.

  • substanve says:

if wenger could know how to play mind technics then Arsenal would be having the best squard forever. This is becouse 4 every plsyer wenger mentions to be interested in, all the big 5 clubs are interested in.Wenger was the first one to spot Ronaldinho,et’oo, christiano, rooney, fedinard, petr cech, drogba, terry, kallu just to mention a few .i suggest he should mention the non-talented players and say he wants to sign them so as his rivary could rush for them and slowly go for his targets secretly.i think this mind game can work very smart for Wenger.
OR WHAT YOUR SAY MY FELLOW FANS?

Right on Substave. Arsenes current approach is not working well for him and hasnt worked well for him for a few years now.

His scouting organization finds great prospects but then for the life of him, Arsene cannot close a deal. Look at the number he has messed up this summer. It is heartbreaking. Mata should have been here for less than $20 million euros. The kid was ready to sign on the Sunday. For some reason Arsene backed away, missed the deadline for an increase in the clubs signing fee and now would be looking at $30 million euros to sign the boy if, Mata was still interested.

Samba,Merteseker, Upton all interested and ready to go. But as soon as they show an interest Arsene backs away from doing a deal or puts in an insultantly low bid which upsets the selling clubs management. His arrogance makes him believe that his view of a situation is the only accurate one and everyone elses just doesnt matter.Look at how he insulted Everton with his low bids for Jagielka this summer.. No wonder we cant bring new players to the team. Anyone with experience
who is subjected to his negotiating skills and tactics becomes “turned off ” in very short order. Only the young players, who have no real experience accept his low ball offers.

You are also right about Tottenham. They love to sign ex Arsenal players like Gallas and soon Adebayor. Eboue said they even tried to hustle him but unlike other players we wont mention, he refused to talk to a mortal enemy of Arsenal.

You are also right Tottenham invariably show up when we are linked to a potential signing “anywhere in the world”. I think, to save money, Harry doesnt hire many scouts, preferring instead to watch Arsenals scouting activities and then try to poach a player or two or three from us. Best recent example is the Campbell boy from Costa Rica. I don’t think Harry even knew where Costa Rica was or who the heck Campbell was. If Arsenal wanted to sign him that was good enough for Harry. Now, if we could only maneuver him into stealing Squillachi life would be roses…

      Up Gunners…
