Arsene Wenger seems to have ruled out a summer move to Norwich City for Arsenal starlet Henri Lansbury, according to Sky Sports.
Recent reports suggested that the 20-year-old midfielder, who was loaned out to the Canaries last season, was set to move to Carrow Road for an estimated £1.5 million this summer. However, Wenger wants to see more of the youngster in action this season, ruling out any move away from the Emirates.
The Frenchman said:
‘Henri Lansbury is in a situation where I believe he will make a career and at the moment it is a bit congested for him but I believe he has the talent to play for Arsenal Football Club.’
‘I have to give him a chance at some stage and as quickly as possible. I believe in him. Honestly, if I believe he will not play this season or has no chance to compete for a position I will tell him and let him go.’
I for one am glad to hear Wenger say this about Lansbury.
I believe the youngster has huge potential and could become a star at Arsenal in the near future, but he needs to be given the chance to shine – which he hasn’t really had yet.
According to Wenger, we will see Lansbury in action sometime during the season – let’s just hope that he takes these future opportunities and impresses the boss and Arsenal fans alike.

Lansbury is the future of the club along with Wilshere and Ramsey. Really hope he gets the chance to prove his worth this season.
