Gunners great Thierry Henry has hailed the signing of Gervinho from Lille, claiming the Ivory Coast international will ‘kill’ a lot of defenders in the Premier league, according to several reports.
The Frenchman, who will hopefully be lining up against The Gunners this Sunday in The Emirates Cup, has kept a close eye on the 24-year-olds career and believes he will fit perfectly into the Arsenal line-up.
TH14 stated:
‘He’s a good player.’
‘I’ve known Gervinho for a very long time. He’s skilful, versatile and one-on-one he is going to kill a lot of defenders in [the Premier League].’
‘He’s fast with great vision, he has everything to succeed at Arsenal and he is an Arsenal player. Arsene [Wenger] doesn’t try to get in players that won’t fit into his team.’
He finished off saying:
‘I think the fans will be excited [by him] he’s the type of guy that can light up a stadium.’
