An open letter to Barça

Dear Señor Rosell,

Now that you’ve finally made your derisory bid of £27 million for Cesc Fabregas, I suggest that you go away, think about things, and then come back when you decide to stop insulting all parties involved by setting Cesc’s value so low, and by expecting Arsenal to just roll over and accept what ever you say just because you’re Barca.

You know what Arsenal and the market has set Cesc’s valuation at. If you want him as much as you say you do, pay up and leave us all in peace.

Stop with the ‘you stole him blah blah blah’ chat, that was 8 years ago, get over it. We did nothing wrong and at the time you weren’t interested in him anyway.

Arsenal know that Fabregas wants to return to his boyhood club and they, as well as us the fans, accept that, but that doesn’t mean you get him on the cheap – Arsenal set the price, you pay the price, end of.

Arsenal know you seem to think that they are your feeder club – Petit, Overmars, Van Bronkhorst, Sylvinho, Helb, Henry – but that doesn’t mean you get any favours.

We all know this transfer will happen eventually, so let’s cut the cr@p, pay up, so that we can all get on with preparing for next season’s campaign and our annual meet-up in the Champions League.

Regards,

A frustrated Gooner

Arsenal must not release Fabregas for Barca except they paid upto 40 – 50 pounds for on him

If Barcelona had actually made an offer for Fabregas, it would have been formally announced by the Club. Moreover, there’s absolutely nothing on Arsenal’s official website about any offer from Barca.

This whole story emerged from an extremely dubious report in the Sun that Sandro Rosell had called up Arsenal Chief Executive Ivan Gazidis and made a “verbal offer” of 27 million, which was then rejected. The Sun article provided ZERO sourcing that would explain how the task of formally announcing this “offer” had fallen to a 3rd-rate tabloid like them.

But just in case anyone here needs reminding, a “verbal offer” for Cesc is not really an offer at all, and as of this time, Barcelona has not made ANY offers for Cesc Fabregas at all this summer. You should be well aware by now that transfer rumour reporting is extremely shaky on the credibility front, and you should take a more careful look at the sourcing of these reports before you take any of them at face value. Cheers.

  • F*ck barc. I love messi but barc is just a crap, fabragas is a victim of feelin inferior to his spainish team mate, he envy them and that is just the main reason he want to return home.for me, wenger should just cash in 35k and wish him the best ahead. But i know, csec will regret his decision. From a captain to a beach warmer
