Did Pearce want Wilshere in his U21 squad purely for his own gain?

|

Stuart Pearce with his latest spouting has reiterated his credentials as an F.A ‘yes man’ and confirmed his full absolution of responsibility to the well being and futures of all England players.

Following his comments a couple of months back when he claimed that players won’t progress to the senior’s unless they play in big tournaments (Under-21’s, big tournaments? Really!!!?).

The 49-year-old now moans:

‘One thing’s for sure – Arsenal have not left him out of the side in the last six weeks of the season, even though the stats have said he’s in the red zone. Arsene didn’t want him to go full stop. What he does with Arsenal next season is irrelevant to me.’

Point 1 – Arsenal decide when their players play for the club not the F.A or their puppets.

Point 2 – Correct, Arsene didn’t want Jack Wilshere to go, and after what happened to Theo, do you blame him? By the way, he left the final decision up to Jack!!!

Point 3 – ‘What he does with Arsenal next season is irrelevant to me’ – So that’s it is it Stuart? You only care about how you will look as manager of the team in this tournament. No consideration for the player’s future or burn out? As long as he’s there now and he makes you look good, that’s all that matters is it? Very responsible of you!!!

Now, personally, I’d prefer to listen to someone who’s knows more about football than Stuart Pearce could ever dream of:

‘Everyone would agree that Wilshire has earned his place alongside the best players in the country. In my opinion once you’ve reached that level your place is in the senior squad.’

Thank you Mr. Kenny Daglish.

As an aside, for anyone who mocks Arsene Wenger for claiming that Champions League every year (for 14 consecutive years) is an achievement, spare a thought for Monaco – Champions League finalists to Ligue 2 in 7 years.

Winning isn’t a right, it has to be earned!!!

I don’t know why Pearce is upset, first off he has played all season for his club and needs a break or he could suffer next season when playing for Arsenal. Also why would he play for the under 21’s when he is playing for the senior team. It is a step down for him and it wouldn’t make sense for him to play.

Plaion and simply, Pearce should just mind his own business, Wilshere has said he doesn’t want to play for the under 21’s and now it seems Pearce is upset, get over it.
