How would you spend Wenger’s £40M summer transfer funds? – Have your say

|

It was reported this week that new Arsenal owner, Stan Kroenke, will hand Arsene Wenger a £40 million transfer kitty this summer in order to bolster the current squad for next season’s campaign.

However, renowned for his strict transfer policies and tight spending, it seems almost certain that the Frenchman will resist temptation, and ultimately not splash the cash, even though a number of the clubs fans would like to see him do so this summer. Obviously this is yet to be seen, but it appears highly likely if history is anything to go by.

So I ask – If you were in Wenger’s position and had £40 million at your disposal this summer, who would you look to acquire?

The problem with Arsenal that we have squad depth but the subs or aren’t good enough to compete with our First 11. So I suggest…

Sell Bendtner, Squillaci, Rosicky, Denilson, Almunia, Eboue, maybe even Chamakh and that would come up to at least £40 Million. Then we would have £80 Million. Buy Stekelenburg for £10 Million to provide competition with Sczeszny, Vertonghen for £15 Million who would be familiar with Stekelenburg and Vermaelen because they were together at Ajax only because £20 Million is an inflated price for Cahill, a player who has only recently become an England international and is 25. Buy a striker like Hulk for £20 Million or better yet if West Ham get relegated buy Demba Ba for a maximum of £10 Million. I’m not sure whether to get Eden Hazard or not because he would cost like £20 Million and we have Ryo Miyaichi on his way back from loan and he is looking quite promising, also being in the £10 Million region Alex Chamberlain would be a cheaper alternative- he is English and would have more passion than a foreigner ever would. And then bring back Vela because we need a poacher like Javier Hernandez in our team. Bring 1 or 2 youngens from our reserves like Ramsey, Frimpong or Lansbury to replace Denilson. DONE!

So that’s Stekelenburg (In) – Almunia (Out)
    Vertonghen (In) – Squillaci (Out)
Lansbury or Frimpong (In) – Denilson (Out)
Hazard or Chamberlain (In) – Rosicky (Out)
Hulk or Ba (In) – Bendtner (Out)
    Vela (In) – Chamakh (Out)
    Eboue (Out)

We don’t need to sell Arshavin or Diaby they can compete with the likes of Nasri and Song when needed.

thiago silva and hulk in,almunia, bendtnar, arshavin out……plus the current players need to show more desire to win the ball, need to be more combative in the middle of the park and get more adventurous on the ball in the final third….and the tsrikers hav to break there necks into the six yard area ….and they need a special physical training..unless these changes come, its no use even if the whole squad is sold and a new squad is in

    Diego Milito 6 million
    Yann M’Villa 10 million
    Honorato nilmar 10 million
Simon kjaer/ Subotic / Gary cahill 14 million

I have just spent 40 million pounds , if i could sell shit players like Diaby , Denilson , Bendtner , Chamakh (not shit) not arsenal type of player , arsenal donot play decent crosses , so don’t expect him to score … squilacci , almunia ,. By selling these players which we donot need , we can enhance our funds to almost 30 million pounds or more …

buy a great defender like Per Mertesacker and buy a midfielder because Fabregas will probably leave and sell Squllaci Rosicky and Almunia
