Bacary Sagna’s agent insists Frenchman is happy at Arsenal

|

Bacary Sagna’s agent has trashed rumours speculating that the French full-back could depart the Emirates this summer, insisting his client is enjoying life at Arsenal, according to Sky Sports.

The 28-year-old has been a regular for the Gunners since his arrival from Ligue 1 outfit Auxerre in the summer of 2007.

The right-back’s confident performances, particularly this season for Arsenal, has seen the Frenchman occasionally linked with a move away from the North London club, despite being tied down until 2014. However, Sagna’s agent, Christophe Mongai, is adamant that his client will remain at Arsenal for the long-term. He told French sport publication, L’Equipe:

‘There is no desire to leave. He is happy at Arsenal. But you never know what can happen.’

So far this season, Sagna has made a total of 38 appearances for the Gunners, whilst bagging 2 goals along the way.

Several reports are suggesting that a mass exodus could unfold at the North London club this summer. However, I’m guessing that a majority of Arsenal fans wouldn’t have placed the France international amongst the bunch of players to be shown the Emirates exit doors at the end of the season.

Although Sagna appears to be staying at Arsenal, which would have pleased a number of the clubs fans, personally, I would still like Arsene Wenger to acquire a more youthful right-back in the summer, preferably Ajax’s Gregory van der Wiel.

So time for Sagna to go ,sold at a nice profit ,good for Arsenal, good for Bacary,s agent, everyone is happy including myself who has long since seen the ineptitude of this ball watching supremo who can,t concentrate for lengthy spells just like his fellow winger Clichy, caught upfield ball watching while Djorou attempted to cover for his absence and the subsequent penalty given to Spurs ,a few days ago,it,s time for changes at the Emirates, let,s do it already ?

He may be happy to stay at Arsenal but I’m certainly not happy, he is overated and makes basic errors. He is badly positioned when it comes to defending and costs us vital goals (the tottenham penality was a classic example). What really frustrating is he can’t even cross a ball, you would think he would have learned how to cross a ball with the ammount crosses he does per game. I think him and Clichy have the world record for incomplete crosses. Seriously he needs to be sold and bring in Gregory van der Wiel.
