Arsenal are ready to beat Manchester United and Liverpool to French star Yann M’Vila.
The Rennes midfielder, who is valued at around £15m, has reportedly been observed by Gunners scouts in recent weeks. A Rennes source said:
‘We know there are many club who want M’Vila but only a big offer will tempt us to sell him. We have not received any official bids.’
The 20-year-old French international has been likened to former Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira for his style of play; a comparison that could persuade manager Arsene Wenger to bolster his squad with a solid defensive midfielder.
