Arsenal winger Andrey Arshavin could make a shock move to former club Zenit St. Petersburg this summer.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger dished out a club record fee of £15m in 2009, however the Russian star has become demoted to the role of ‘impact sub’ this season.
Zenit’s sporting director Igor Korneev said of the 29-year-old:
‘Zenit’s doors are always open for Andrey.’
‘If his situation at Arsenal does not improve and he’s not comfortable in London, we can study this issue in time for next season.’
Arshavin has scored six goals in 33 league appearances this season.
