Arsenal v Barcelona – What’s your bet?

|

So it’s finally upon us. The game every Arsenal fan has been waiting for, or in some cases, been dreading.

The Gunners host Barcelona at the Emirates tonight for the first of their two-legged Champions League tie. Unquestionably, every neutral fan in the country will be glued to their TV sets from 19:45…and for good reason.

Barcelona go into tonight’s game in superb domestic form. The Catalans have notched up seventeen goals in their last five matches and are running rampant in La Liga, whilst Arsenal, who have bagged thirteen in their last five games, will certainly fancy their chances against the best in Europe.

Both sides play majestic football which is wonderful to see, but ultimately, tonight’s result will come down to who wants it more.

Wenger’s men will want to exact some sort of revenge on Barca tonight, after the Spanish outfit humiliated the Gunners in both legs of their quarter-final tie last year. However, Bet365 have made Arsenal clear underdogs in tonight’s clash…and it’s at the Emirates!

Arsenal are at 11/4 to come out with a win, whilst Messi and Co, who have simply been on fire this season, have been made favourites at 10/11. Considering what happened last year, the odds aren’t exactly surprising.

With the array of attacking talent on show tonight, this game is bound to have a few goals flying in. With that being said, I will be going for a 2-2 draw and Lionel Messi to score anytime time at 16/1. If you prefer a ‘punt’, then a 2-2 draw with Cesc Fabregas to get on the score-sheet anytime looks good at 30/1.
