Leeds v Arsenal – Who’s your money on?

|

The third round of the FA Cup will be completed tonight as the replay between Leeds and Arsenal will be played at Elland Road. After last night’s action where there were no shocks and all three Premier League teams got past their Championship opponents, can this trend be reversed tonight?

Leeds go into the match on a high after firstly securing the replay against Arsenal and then putting four past Scunthorpe at the weekend.

Leeds are the joint highest scorers in the Championship, scoring 29 goals at home over the course of the season thus far.

I think there’s a fair chance of them repeating their exploits at The Emirates and taking the lead before Arsenal fight back to win.

Arsenal are 6/1 to win from behind

Arsenal themselves put three past West Ham and Arsene Wenger won’t be keen to pass up an opportunity to win a trophy. Theo Walcott looked like a real menace when he came on in the original tie, and if he starts, odds of 15/8 for him to score anytime look appealing.

Theo Walcott is 7/1 to score first

An FA Cup upset looks unlikely tonight, but if you believe in the magic of the FA Cup then you’ll be backing Leeds at 9/2. The more realistic fans will be putting their money on Arsenal at 4/7.
