Arsenal striker Carlos Vela has joined West Brom on loan after talks broke down with Bolton.
Vela’s agent, Eduardo Hernandez, has said his client would move to the Hawthorns for the rest of the season.
Bolton manager Owen Coyle had publicly expressed his wish to sign the Mexico forward, 21, and was given the go-ahead to talk to the player and his agent on Thursday. However, the terms discussed were out of Bolton’s reach.
It is thought the forward’s first game will be on Tuesday, 1 February in a home fixture against fellow strugglers Wigan.
